Foundation course, Hornsey College of Art, London.

BA(Hons) Graphic Design, Hornsey College of Art.Higher Diploma in Design, Manchester Polytechnic, printmaking.



Career


I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.


I have spent thirty six years teaching, writing and managing degree and postgraduate courses at the universities of Humberside, Hull, Southampton Solent, Southampton and London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London.


I have been visiting a visiting lecturer at Cologne International School of Design, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh and have delivered workshops on design in what was East Germany, Korea, Beijing and Tokyo and Roche Court.


I have also been a Quality Assurance Agency reviewer as well as being a member of the Quality Assurance Agency Benchmarking group.


I’ve written articles for Eye International Design magazine and have exhibited work as well as having work appear in a variety of publications.



Interests


Walking, fencing, architecture, art, design, travel.



Post retirement



  • Volunteer at Salisbury Museum in the ephemera archive.

  • Lecture Secretary for Salisbury Civic Society.

  • Still trying to get a book on webcam images published.



I have joined the NDP Strategy Group because I have an interest in planning, architecture regeneration and community in relation to the City.
