The Salisbury Teenage Markets
Following government advice around the Coronavirus pandemic we have unfortunately decided to postpone our Teenage Markets. Please check this page regularly for updates.
Organised and managed by the Communities Team at Salisbury City Council the Teenage Market is now in its sixth year.
The Market is held three times a year in the Guildhall Square, alongside the Charter Market, from 10am until 3pm in April, August and October. Please see dates below. The Salisbury Teenage Market is a free platform for entrepreneurial young people wanting to promote their skills and business ideas. A number of traders over the last 5 years have gone on to become established business owners and market traders across the County and further afield.
We welcome a whole variety of traders from painters to bakers and candlestick makers! We also welcome performers who are looking for a platform in which to showcase their talent, from solo acoustic artists, to bands, to duets, to dance troops, to vocal choirs.
Salisbury City Council provide traders with a gazebo and a table along with public and product liability insurance to cover them at the market. For performers a stage is provided and managed by All the Kit, Public and Product liability is also provided to cover them at the market.
If you are aged between 13 and 21 years (up to 25 for SEND) and would like to get involved it’s really easy to do so. All you need to do is register on the Teenage Market website (www.teenagemarket.co.uk) by creating a profile on either the Traders or Performers section. Once you have created your profile, you can then apply to take part in Salisbury's Teenage Market. Please note we require a responsible adult to supervise participants under the age of 18.
We welcome groups as well as individuals. Priority is given to those living within the City of Salisbury and Wiltshire area.
