The popular Car Boot Sales are running every third Sunday from April - September in 2023:

21 May
18 June
16 July
20 August
17 September 

It's just £5 per car on the day or £10 for vans or cars with trailers.  No need to book.....just turn up on the day to be allocated the space to put your car on the Market Place.

Open to sellers from 7:00am and to buyers from 9am - 1pm.  Spaces allocated on a first come first served basis.

Community Grants Fund

Community Grants and Subsidies 

Salisbury City Council Community Development Grants are funding streams for community groups and organisations seeking support to deliver work that will benefit residents of the Salisbury City Area.

A. Small Grants

Designed for organisations that require a modest amount of funding for a project which can be completed within one year and which will benefit the local community of the Salisbury City Area. The maximum amount available under the Small Grant scheme is £750.

B. Medium Grant

An innovative funding stream ideal for organisations which may wish to carry out longer term projects. Under the Medium Grant scheme organisations may apply for a grant from £750 up to £3,000 for up to 3 years.

C. City Grants

City Grants applications can be made for projects, activities or works that exceed £3,000. These grants are unfunded and granted at the discretion of councillors from the relevant committee. Applicants must be able to evidence long-term impact against at least 1 of the following least one of the following priorities
• Creating a Green City
• Creating a Lively City
• Improving the Wellbeing of Residents

D. Youth Bursaries Grants

In 2022/23 Salisbury City Council will also be running a scheme designed specifically to support organisations and businesses offering activity for young people ages 11 to 19 (and up to 25 for people with SEND). Applications are invited to apply for up to £750 to support the free provision of activities for young people who could not otherwise afford to take part.

Deadline for application is the 19th January 2023

Rent Reduction Subsidy

This subsidy is for community organisations, sports, youth and social clubs that occupy buildings or land owned by SCC. The subsidy supports these organisations to deliver activity of community benefit by reducing or eliminating rent costs.
