The union flag is flying at Salisbury Guildhall to mark the 40th anniversary of the end of the Falklands conflict

on Tuesday, 14 June 2022.

Salisbury City Council is flying the union flag today to commemorate all service personnel who were impacted by the Falklands War, which ended 40 years ago on 14 June 1982.

The Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin, or his representative, will be attending a short service of remembrance at the War Memorial, Salisbury at 8pm, which will be hosted by The Salisbury Royal Naval Association and the Salisbury and Amesbury Veterans Breakfast Club, and the public are welcome to attend.

The Deputy Mayor will also be attending the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection “The Falklands Remembered” ceremony on the morning of Tuesday 14 June 2022.
