City Council urges residents not to litter in readiness for the re-opening of the city

on Tuesday, 06 April 2021.

Salisbury City Council are encouraging residents of Salisbury to do their bit to keep the City clean for the re-opening of some businesses on 12 April.

As restrictions ease, people will be able to enjoy Salisbury even more, with non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality opening. Therefore it is so important to take care of our city by not dropping litter and instead taking it home.

The team at the City Council have found abandoned personal protective equipment, rubbish and dog mess in local parks and green areas. Not only is this harmful to the environment, but children also play in these areas.

Please keep Salisbury clean and make it look as good as it can be for its re-opening by taking litter home or putting it in the bins provided. By working together, you can help us make sure that our city is a clean and enjoyable space to visit.
