Mouth-watering family cookery and fun activities are being provided in the run up to the half term for families in Bemerton, near Salisbury.
The six-week initiative is being led by Radian, one of the south’s leading housing, care and support providers, as part of the Bemerton Heath Interagency Group, which also includes Salisbury City Council.

Macklin Road Play Area is set to reopen on Tuesday 15 September at 3.30pm following a complete refurbishment by Salisbury City Council.
The Play Area was transferred from Wiltshire Council to the City Council in 2014 with £60,000 for improvements.

Scaffolding has started to be erected around The Guildhall, Salisbury in advance of essential roof repair work due to commence in approximately six weeks’ time.
Salisbury City Council have employed contractors, Ellis & Co Ltd, to replace and repair the roof and high level masonry. A temporary roof will be constructed to protect the building whilst the roof is repaired, with scaffolding on all four sides of the building. The masonry repairs will cover improvements at high level as well as around the main entrance area. The entire project is expected to take 39 weeks.

Salisbury City Council require a specialist contractor for the firework finale at this years Summer Spectacular event at Hudsons Field on Saturday 22 August 2015. This firework finale will fire at 10pm and last approximately 3 minutes to provide a spectacular aerial display as well as signalling the end of the event.

Wednesday 5th August will see an even bigger and better Salisbury Playday return in a new location at Churchill Gardens. Playday is the national day for play in the UK, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August, and when thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events.
