Our
Responsibilities

Following a transfer of assets from Wiltshire Council to Salisbury City Council on 1 April 2017, the City Council is now responsible for the following areas in the City:

  • Grounds maintenance in many areas where it was previously Wiltshire Council
  • Play areas previously looked after by Wiltshire Council
  • Shopmobility
  • The Guildhall Square and Market Place
  • Henry Fawcett Statue in the Market Place
  • Poultry Cross
  • Fisherton Clock Tower
  • A range of properties around the city

All other areas and assets not mentioned here are the responsibility of Private Landlords, Agents or Wiltshire Council.
