Friday 15 February
Salisbury Arts Centre, Arts Space at 3pm
Brilliant South West artist Marcus Bazley will be in residence with us during the festival developing a new piece of work and will be sharing her work in progress on Friday 15 February at 3pm
Orlando is a new play inspired by Virginia Woolf’s novel.
Orlando is a subversive, experimental novel that blurs cultures, histories and genders as a man becomes a woman through 400 years of time. We meet Orlando as a young man in the Elizabethan era, working on his poem The Oak Tree – by the end of the novel Orlando is a woman in 1920s London, still working on the poem. The story is about the changes and constants in history, and in ourselves.
Join our Fest West residence at the end of the week for an informal sharing, a chance to catch a work-in-progress extract of his new show.
