Salisbury Food and Drink Festival
Visitors of all ages travelled from far and wide to visit Salisbury’s Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 30 September. The event organised by Salisbury City Council opened at 10am and closed at 5pm in The Guildhall, Market Place and Guildhall Square.
Showcasing a large number of food vendors and stalls, visitors experienced wine tastings, gin tastings, tempting tasters and live food demos and talks from celebrity chefs, Levi Roots, Paul Rankin and Jane Devonshire.
Live music on the day was provided by Marina E, Fret n Keyz, Common Confusion, The Mosquitoes and The Consultancy which gave visitors the opportunity to sit, relax and soak in the day.
Stallholder Paul Shinar from RR Elite Wines said, “We had a fabulous time, the event was well organised and we had the best sales we have had at any outdoor event this year!”
The Mayor of the City of Salisbury Councillor Mike Osment said, “Salisbury Food and Drink Festival was a very popular and successful event which brought in thousands of visitors to the City. There was a lovely atmosphere, and the crowds seem to enjoy all aspects of the event. We know that lots of stalls sold out which shows how popular this event was.”
