Salisbury Food and Drink Festival
We are excited for the return of Salisbury Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 29 September! The event will open at 10am and close at 4pm in The Guildhall, Market Place and Guildhall Square.
We are delighted to announce that celebrity chefs Nick Nairn, Paul Rankin and Sean Wilson will be doing FREE live food demos in the demo marquee - Book your spaces below!
The event will host a large variety of local food vendors and stalls in the Market Place and Guildhall Square as well as tasty tipples from the fantastic bars in the Market Place.
There will also be fab street entertainers and live music throughout the day from Marina E, Just Because, Evolution Pop Choir, Cam & Nichole, The Duskers and Off the Cuff.
In the Guildhall there will be fantastic demos and tastings from Vaughan’s Kitchen, Winchester Distillery, Stone Circle Mead Company and Charter 1227. Plus ABC Cook are doing exciting cookery workshops for kids in the Market Place.
Celebrity chef, cookery school owner and TV presenter Nick Nairn!
Nick Nairn’s television career began on Ready Steady Cook which launched him as a household name in 1995. Nick is now a regular presenter on Landward, a guest on BBC 1’s The One Show and Saturday Kitchen, and James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV. Now, he owns, teaches at and bases his business at the acclaimed Nick Nairn Cook School. Foodies will enjoy his relaxed demo and pick up lots of tips and techniques!
Ready Steady Cook and Saturday Kitchen star Paul Rankin!
Chef Paul Rankin who changed the face of culinary Northern Ireland when he opened Roscoff, is best known for being one of the longest standing and most successful chefs on Ready Steady Cook and has appeared in Paul and Nick’s Big Food Trip, with fellow chef Nick Nairn. He has also appeared on Step up to the Plate (BBC1), Local Food Heroes (UKTV), Ten Mile Menu (ITV1), and Paul regularly appears as a guest chef on Saturday Kitchen (BBC1).
Coronation Street actor and celebrity chef, Sean Wilson!
Sean Wilson is best known for his 21 years starring in national flagship soap opera, Coronation Street.
Since 2005, Sean has followed his passion into the word of food and cheese, where has created his own range of multi-award winning Lancashire cheeses and worked in Michelin star restaurants.
Sean’s Saddleworth Cheese Company makes six artisanal cheeses, with provenance as their byword, celebrating Lancashire. All have been British Cheese Award favourites with Gold medals both nationally and internationally.
