Charter Fair

In 1227 - seven years after the building of Salisbury Cathedral began - King Henry III granted a Charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October. That same Charter granted the City permission to hold a market every Tuesday. Both Charter Market and Annual Fair are still held to this very day.

Location: Market Place and Guildhall Square
Date: Sunday 15th – Wednesday 18th October
Times: Opens on Sunday at 4.00pm – 9.00pm. Then open Monday – Wednesday from 11.00am – 10.00pm

Completed application forms must be returned no later than 5pm on Wednesday 30 August 2017. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
