The Salisbury Charter Fair will return to Salisbury’s Market Place & Guildhall Square on Sunday 15 October until Wednesday 18 October.
In 1227 - seven years after the building of Salisbury Cathedral began - King Henry III granted a Charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October. That same Charter granted the City permission to hold a market every Tuesday. Both Charter Market and Annual Fair are still held to this very day.
The Charter Fair will be officially opened by the Mayor of Salisbury on Sunday 15 October at 4pm.
This year there are three new rides to enjoy, these are the Star Gate Ride for thrill seekers, Race-a-Rama for children and the return of the family favourite Carousel.
You can also collect 50p ride discount coupons form the Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row.
The Fair will open from 4pm until 9pm on Sunday, and then 11am until 10pm Monday through to Wednesday.
