Congratulations to our Mucky the Monster Competition Winner

As part of the #cleanupwiltshire and Great British Spring Clean project earlier this year, Salisbury City Council launched a competition themed around a litter monster called Mucky. The competition encouraged local children under the age of 16 to write a short story or poem about the litter monster for the chance to win a £50 book voucher.

On Saturday 19th May the Civic Party and their guests will parade from the Guildhall to St. Thomas's Church for the annual general meeting and Mayor Making Ceremony. 

This is a very traditional and colourful spectacle where civic robes are worn along with the judiciary. 

For the safety of those in the procession, a number of roads will be closed. Please see below:

Marketplace Europe are delighted to work in partnership with Salisbury City Council to host a two-day International Market on 6th and 7th May in the Market Place and Guildhall Square. The market will run on Sunday from 10am until 6pm and Bank Holiday Monday from 10am until 6pm.

Saturday 14 April sees the first of the Teenage Markets in Salisbury this year.  The market is run by Salisbury City Council and is held in the Guildhall Square alongside the Charter Market from 10am – 3pm.

French and Vintage Markets return to Salisbury

The popular French Market is returning to Salisbury Market Place on Friday 23 March from 10am to 4pm and will be joined by the Vintage Market too. Whether you are looking to pick up a few unique gifts for friends and family or to stock up your food cupboard, the markets are a must visit.
